Straight from Milano, where he celebrated the success of “May I have your Attention, Please?” until recently, Maarten Baas is back in Eindhoven. With his whispering machines, Baas has the main floor in the Kazerne, the design gallery and restaurant in the Paradijslaan.

In 2017, the Netherlands celebrates 100 years De Stijl. With a large exhibition, Kazerne joins the theme year Mondriaan to Dutch Design. The podium for design surpasses the external characteristics of De Stijl, like the straight lines and primary colours. The focus is on content: the blending between form and function, and the search for a universal language to interpret the contemporary society. Together with the designers and the audience, Kazerne tries to pierce through the zeitgeist and to predict which designers and labels will survive the ravages of time.

Be sure to visit the small side-chamber where Jelle Mastenbroek built his data orchestra. To be activated with any chip card, resulting in your personal data generated music.
