The second edition of the university’s innovation contest was launched this week. Students with an innovative idea, project or plan can work on it in collaboration with specialists from the industry.

Students of the Technical University can upload their ideas to tuecontest.nl as of next Friday (Feb 5). Next step will be to develop the plans, together with a selection of companies in the Brainport region. The best concepts will compete against each other in the grand final on May 17. Finalists will try to convince the jury with an inspiring pitch. The jury will be led by president Jan Mengelers of TU/e.

The winner will receive support in setting up their own business until the end of 2016. Part of this prize is a €10,000 funding to start-up. Registration for the innovation contest is possible until March 31st. The finals will be held in the Blauwe Zaal at the university.
